How to Install logrotate software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

logrotate software package provides Log rotation utility, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install logrotate

logrotate is installed in your system.

Make ensure the logrotate package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep logrotate *

You will get with logrotate package name, version, architecture and description in a table
